Came to Rhode Island this time to see a favorite band, The Heavy Heavy, at Ocean Mist. Rode this old bike from the cottage, walking across the rocky beach at sunset. Excited for the show.

A perfect day at the sea. I walked to watch the surfers, then along the already crowded beach. Now drinking coffee and watching boats float by. Ospreys soaring above.
Our group had a Wed. morning permit to crawl out to Angel’s Landing, but the rains kept us away until late afternoon. We made it up to Scout Lookout with enough time to get back for one of last shuttles down canyon. Oliver was captivated by this cloud on the hike down the steep trail. #zion
My island vacation on St. Croix let me dive into this big book about Tonga, The Wayfinder: A Novel by Adam Johnson. My earlier study of the Hawaiian language helps to read the Tongan and Maori phrases, and my two years in Vanuatu helps with references to kava. Still 500 pages to enjoy. 📚
