I’m listening to the excellent Scene on Radio podcast by John Biewen, and the Seeing White series is fascinating.

Stopped up to the house to check on the renovation. Stepped out of truck, and heard a woodpecker, crows, and a hawk all at once.

Dropped some dough on a couple of used lenses at the local camera shop.

The things you learn during a home renovation: schluter, that shiny strip along the edge of the shower tile.

Submitting some last receipts for 2017 health care reimbursement account. Pearl Jam and Israel Kamakawiwo’ole have made it bearable.

Dinner question to my children: What’s the best thing that happened to you this week? Each answered with what they’d done with friends this week. Very nice.
