Hello from Mantanziker in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Monday, August 17, 2026.

I’m sitting in Studio B, which is this office shed that I work in most days of the week, looking out the glass window onto the yard and forest.

Beautiful setting out there.

It’s calm.

It’s quiet.

It’s cool here in the office, even though it’s in the 90s outside.

It’s quite a pleasant place to work, except that I’m alone.

There are no people around.

I hardly see anyone during the day except when I walk back down to our house to use the restroom or grab lunch.

I really miss going into the office.

Tomorrow, though, is a day where many of my colleagues will be gathering to celebrate some personal milestones for a couple of our colleagues.

So I’m looking forward to actually seeing people that I work with in person in the large office building downtown Durham, where the Duke Clinical Research Institute has its offices.

So that’s where I’ll be tomorrow.

Looking forward to that.

Today, I’m just enjoying the calm, quiet, relaxing day, getting some work done, doing some writing, had some meetings.

Now I’m going to work on listening to a podcast about coaching and then drafting a blog post.

I’m testing the new Wavelength 2.0 app from Micro.blog.

It looks and works really well.

So looks cool, works really well.

So congratulations, Manton and team.

And I will stop here, post this, and thank you for listening.

Have a great day wherever you are in this world.
